About the Photographer

I've been interested in photography all my life. My maternal grandma was a freelance photographer, and my mom was an equine photographer for a little while. She also bred Crabbet and CMK Arabians. When I was born, my first toys were a stuffed horse and a toy camera!

Mom was the horse project leader for our local 4-H club for many years, and I grew up learning a lot about conformation, showing, and proper grooming and care. I showed just about every year at the county fair, and had a wonderful time. I started out riding Saddle Seat, then Hunt Seat, and finally settled into Western. My favorite mare and best friend Diadem Tiara Baha, aka Tiara, was my mount and companion through the rest of my showing years.

Besides horses and photography, my other interests include knitting (especially lace), beadwork, gardening, travel, and attending Renaissance Faires in costume. In 2000 I settled down on a farm near Pittsville, WI. I have currently have 15 equines (Arabians, Pintos, Quarter horses both registered and grade, and a pony sized hinny), a dog, cats indoors and out, and chickens of various breeds.
